All essential information below.

Information

  1. Printing materials should be submitted in the form of composite files in the 1:1 scale and in a "Portrait" orientation. Acceptable file formats: pdf, eps, ai, indd (in case of .ai files, bitmaps must be embedded in the document). If you work in Adobe InDesign and do not want to generate files for printing yourself, please send complete "packages" with links , fonts and indd documents with the idml file.
  2. Bitmap and vector graphics. All texts should be converted to curves. The minimum line thickness is 0.2 pt. - The bitmap elements used in the project should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  3. Colour scheme - CMYK color expanse. If arranged beforehand, additional colors from the Pantone and HKS scale are possible. The maximum sum of colors (Total Ink Limit) is 270%. The value of 100% BLACK is nominally printed as „overprint". Graphic elements should not contain attached (tagged) ICC profiles.
  4. 4. Bleeds and margins. Nett card dimensions: 85.6 x 54 mm. Card dimensions with bleeds: 91x58 mm. When designing the card, remember not to place important graphics closer than 2mm from the edge of the card (nett). Safe print area: 81.6 x 50 mm placed centrally in the outline of the card. Please avoid frames around the card. In the technological process, it is possible to move the punching die (tolerance approx. 1mm). The result will be in the form of a non-centric frame. Do not round the corners in the design. Printing markers and colour cubes should not be placed on the bleed and it is acceptable to place a cutting line. Place the magnetic strip on the reverse in the upper part of the card. This may mean rotating the card sides by 180 ° to fit your production. The standard magnetic strip is 12.7 mm wide and is offset from the top edge of the card by 4.5 mm.
  1. The project should be sent in programs such as: Corel (*.cdr) to version X3 , Adobe (*.ai, *eps) to version 10, PDF format (*pdf) and attach a preview in JPG, GIF, BMP
  2. Design size should be 90mm x 58mm. This is the size of the card increased by 2mm (technological drops). After cutting, the card dimensions will be 86 x 54 mm.
  3. The distance of fixed elements (i.e. graphics, logos, captions) from the edge of the card (86 x 54mm) is min. 3mm.
  4. Please use CMYK colors.
  5. No rounded corners.
  6. Optimal resolution of 300 dpi.
  7. Fonts in the project changed to curves.
  8. 150 ruling.
  9. The magnetic strip will be 13mm high and it is positioned 6mm from the edge of the design.
  1. The project should be sent in programs such as: Corel (*.cdr) to version X3 , Adobe (* .ai, * eps) to version 10, PDF format (* pdf) and attach a preview in JPG, GIF, BMP
  5. Please avoid large, smooth single-color solids on the project.
  6. All kinds of textures on smooth surfaces are welcome.
  7. Please avoid large gray and black areas in your designs for indigo projects.
  8. The design of the card should be without rounded corners.
  9. Optimal resolution of 300 dpi.
  10. Fonts in the project converted to curves.
  11. 150 ruling.
  1. Photo and signature preparation. Coloured photos and signatures (in black) should be prepared in a resolution of approx. 300dpi. All photos should have the same dimensions, adapted to the size of the field for printing the photo (20x25), saved in "jpg" or "tif" format. All photos should be saved in the same format, either in a "jpg" or "tif" format. Each photo should have the owner's name in the database (see point 2). The signature should be placed in the field approx. 40 x 12 mm and name the scanned signature file with the name of the owner. All photos should be saved in the same "jpg" or „tif” format.
  2. Preparation of the personal database. The file with the personal database should be sent in the "xls" format (MS EXCEL format) and saved under the name of the school. The database should contain as many columns as the data fields on the ID card (possible additional column with an ordinal number). The surname and the first name field has to be filled with CAPITAL LETTERS. If the name or surname is longer than 14 characters, it must be divided into 2 lines. The employer’s name field also filled in with CAPITAL LETTERS. If the name of the employer is longer than 30 characters, it must be divided into a maximum of 4 lines. Caution! The employer should not be the school complex, but the actual school. The validity date field should be in a "ddmmyyyy" format. The name of the photo and signature placed in the database should be identical to the name of the file that contains the photo (signature scan). Particular attention should be paid to capital and small letters, polish fonts, spaces, and photo file extension.
CAUTION! Please remember that the colour of the card will be different from printouts seen on the computer to actual prints. This is due to the different calibrations of THE devices and the printing parameters (colour of the substrate, paints used, laminate). Reliable programmes to check the colours of the prepared material are Cromalin or Matchprint.
